NABE elections are just around the corner and the 2008 NABE Nominating Committee seeks your recommendations for NABE president, vice president, directors, and fellows. Current officers and directors can be found here and current fellows can be found here . The deadline for recommendations is Wednesday, April 30, and the election will be held in June. The 2008 Nominating Committee members are: Carl Tannenbaum, chair, economic consultant; Ellen Hughes-Cromwick, Ford Motor Company; Stuart Hoffman, PNC Financial Services Group; Richard Berner, Morgan Stanley; Diane Swonk, Mesirow Financial; Kathleen Camilli, economic consultant; and Gene Huang, FedEx Corporation. The February 2008 NABE Outlook Survey received outstanding media coverage following its release on Feb. 25. NABE President Ellen Hughes-Cromwick was interviewed about the survey by the Associated Press, ABC Radio Network, Bloomberg Radio, Biz Radio Network (Houston-Dallas-Fort Worth), Bloomberg Television, CBS Radio (Boston), CBS News Radio (Los Angeles), CNN Radio, National Public Radio, the Wall Street Journal Radio Network, Associated Press Radio, and Voice of America Radio. Survey Committee Member Lynn Reaser discussed the survey on the Marketplace Radio Morning Report and with the NBC News affiliates broadcast service. The NBC News interview appeared on evening newscasts on local affiliates around the United States. Among the other outlets that published original articles about the survey were the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, USA Today, the Financial Times, Dow Jones, Agence France Presse, Bloomberg News, RTT News, US News & World Report, the Associated Press, Financial Week, and many others.
